About the role (What you’ll be doing)
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to take ownership of our financial reporting for our group of 15 companies based in Australia, the UK, Europe and Asia.
You'll play a critical role in setting best practice financial reporting, from ensuring accuracy in our balance sheets and management reporting, to providing confidence to our auditors, investors and executive management on the financial health of Eucalyptus.
You will grow your skill set through exposure to different jurisdictions and reporting standards, and develop as a financial professional through taking on new challenges as the business grows in size:
Process month end journals, including review of allocated general ledger accounts/ business areas and posting of relevant accruals, prepayments, and inventory adjustments as required
Delivery within reporting timelines and providing variance analysis on actual vs budget
Maintain and reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Work with business partners within finance and the wider business to understand drivers behind results whilst providing exceptional support
Preparation of ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by internal management and external auditors
Ensure the integrity of information entered the general ledger in accordance with finance policies and procedures
Identify improvements in the accounting and reporting of transactions, reducing time to complete
About you (Who you are)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
1-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
Experience in external audit would be highly regarded
Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant accounting standards
Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
Experience in using Netsuite
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
