About the role (What you’ll be doing)

We are looking for an experienced operator and people leader to help build, mature and scale all aspects of our business as we grow 4-5X within the space of 12 months. Essentially - make sure we scale effectively! You will run the engine of the business, this includes:

  • Build and manage the finance and people functions and work with central functions based in Australia (legal, risk, analytics etc) to scope in work Europe requires
  • Run the rhythm of the teams: Run the sprint planning process, coordinate all team meetings, conduct metric reviews across teams, produce monthly executive updates and run the cycle planning process
  • Be the cross-functional node between several teams (Growth, Product, Operations, Legal) and geographies

This role reports directly into the Senior Leadership Team, and initially works directly with the Head of International Expansion, with the Regional GM for Europe being a key stakeholder.

Day-to-day requirements (just a sample)

  • Overview
    • Build and manage the finance and people functions to support our growing patient base across Europe (UK and Germany), as well as function as a cross-functional node between several teams (Growth, Product, Operations, Legal) and geographies
    • Facilitate the systematisation, delegation, and automation of key business processes across all functions
    • Design, prioritise and execute against complex cross-functional initiatives, driving alignment and momentum of both internal and external stakeholders
  • 📊 Finance & Reporting
    • Define and track key performance metrics to measure business growth and operational efficiency
    • Drive clarity through the monthly P&L forecasting/reporting process, coordinating context and inputs from a wide range of stakeholders in the business, and across several markets
    • Enhance predictability of business performance through collaboration with global functions to more accurately identify the cost of shared resources
    • Iterate on the key decision making artefacts that enable us to rapidly make million dollar decisions with confidence over and over again
  • 👯 People
    • Raise the bar for quality of talent sourced through our hiring processes, while pushing offers forward at high velocity
    • Champion a culture that is equally high performing, as well as rewarding

 

About you (Who you are)

Skills & Experience

  • You have at least combined six (6) years of experience across operations within a high growth company startup/scale up, as well as experience working in consulting or investment banking (MBB or bulge bracket investment bank preferred)
  • You have successfully built several teams, and have previously managed a span of greater than five (5) team members, and/or teams of teams
  • Analytical: You are a whizz with numbers, but also can synthesise your findings into actionable insights, and tangible next steps. You make decisions considering the commercial implications.
  • Tech-savvy: You have a working knowledge of Google Suite, Slack, Notion, and other productivity and project management tools/apps. You are comfortable with various commonplace technologies and are able to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Strong communicator: You are able to align people around chaos using a variety of mediums from written, verbal, and visually. You are an effective active listener and are able to interact with stakeholders in a concise and effective manner.

  • You have specifically built and managed a finance, or people function operating with a span of greater than five (5) team members
  • You have worked across multiple geographies with the same company for a period of at least six (6) months or more
  • You have at least one relevant qualification: CA/CPA, or CIPD
